From parks, to aquariums, to museums, to children’s boutiques, you can easily find something the whole family will enjoy. Ponce City Market

Home to 56 local businesses, Ponce City Market is a lovely way to spend the day as a family.
The Skyline Park on The Rooftop is lively and fun with carnival games, mini golf, and a carousel. It also overlooks a beautiful view of the city! Head over to Pancake Social for a delicious breakfast or brunch, or grab lunch from The Central Food Hall. If you’re looking for a unique place to stay, check out the legendary Clermont Hotel, which is a five-minute walk away!
Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Park
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward

This historic park honors the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and is a great place to have a family day with toddlers. Mostly outdoors, the park offers lots of open spaces for toddlers to run, explore, and play. There’s even a playground suited for younger children. Preserved historic sites make the park a meaningful place to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and experience the world he lived in. After exploring the park, head over to the Sweet Auburn Historic District, for local food like Auburn Angel, an upscale spot for delicious Southern cuisine only a seven minute walk from the park.

A great outdoor activity in Atlanta that both toddlers and parents can enjoy is a visit to Piedmont Park. This well-maintained park offers a variety of family friendly features, including a large playground, walking trails, and picnic areas for a relaxing picnic. There’s also The Piedmont Park Conservancy's Children's Garden, a space where little ones can engage with nature, learn about plants, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Atlanta Botanical Gardens

From exploring the children’s garden, to frog feeding, to programs like Sprouting Scientists, visiting the botanical gardens is both educational and fun for all ages. Little ones can explore the colorful flowers in the Fuqua Conservatory and Orchid Center, while parents can enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. They also put on special events throughout the year, so make sure to check out their events calendar. Find several cafes outside the gardens for a relaxed brunch before or after your visit, including Larakin or Cafe Lucia, both a fifteen minute walk or two minute drive away.

The Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world and offers a variety of exhibits that will captivate the whole family. The Ocean Voyager Exhibit features a massive 6.3-million gallon tank, with incredible marine life like whale sharks and manta rays. There are also interactive touch pools where toddlers can get hands-on with sea creatures like starfish and stingrays in a safe, supervised environment.
The High Museum of Art

A visit to the High Museum of Art offers both parents and toddlers an engaging way to experience art together. From family friendly arts and crafts programs, to interactive spaces where kids can engage with art in creative ways, there’s something here for everyone. Grab a coffee and a bite to eat from CJs Café, or Refuge Coffee Co., and enjoy the relaxed and scenic atmosphere of the atrium. The museum is stroller-friendly, and has a nursing room too, making it easy to get around with your little one. There are many hotel options in the area, like the lovely Hotel Granada, a brisque ten minute walk from the museum.

LEGO Discovery Center

This adaptation of Legoland was built to provide a space for learning through play. They offer many activities like rides, a lego-themed pirate ship play area, a 4D cinema, and a meet and greet with Lego characters. Check out the DUPLO park, a dinosaur-themed play area for younger kids with duck fishing, a dinosaur carousel, and more. A unique and kid-friendly environment, it’s also a great place to have an indoor birthday party for toddlers.
